Course Details

Your main instructors are:

Cameron M. Smith, PhD, a professor at PSU who has also run Pacific Spaceflight’s research and development of new generation space garments since 2010. He has written many publications on exploration, high altitude flight and space. Arctic Explorer, Pilot, Author, Climber, Scuba Diver.

Trent Tresch, a 2017 graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Polar Suborbital Science in the Upper Mesosphere Scientist Astronaut Training Program. He has worked with Pacific Spaceflight for two years engineering pressure garments. He also has programmed missions for an underwater astronaut style course called Dive Into Space. Scuba Diver, Climber, PoSSUM Scientist Astronaut Candidate.

Kim Cunningham, Senior Washington State Firefighter and safety consultant. She is certified to teach fire science including but not limited to ships and submarines. Sea egress and survival training is another avenue of her professional specialties.

Together, Trent, Dr. Smith, and Kim will ensure safe and informative spacesuit indoctrination and training. The team has logged hundreds of hours pressurized in these suits, in many training scenarios.
